Alma River

Located on the Route de la Trace, the Alma River is a pure delight for visitors looking for a total cohesion with nature.

Indeed, its vegetal frame in the rainforest and its abundant vegetation will be a haven for those who wish to commune with Mother Nature in all tranquility. Its fresh water is an alternative to water of beaches warmer than rivers.

It is possible to visit it for canyoneurs via the Piton Boucher and then to cascade down 40 meters and for the hikers to jump into the river from a height of about 3 or 4 meters. It is possible to have a picnic.

To get there by car from Fort-de-France, take the N3 towards the neighborhood "la Médaille" and join Plateau Boucher parking to park.
